We’ve had direct experience designing, manufacturing and installing shade sails, shade structures and giant shade umbrellas over driveways, patios, decks, pools, courtyards, sandpits, play areas, caravan / boat / trailer storage, entrances, units, playgrounds, child care centres, school lunch areas, rotunda meeting areas, car parks, car yards, factories, theme parks, restaurants, cafes, clubs, motels, council parks / precincts and more.

Our whole company philosophy is centred around giving you a shade result you will absolutely love.  We’re not looking to be the biggest shade company – but we are determined to be the best.

Your Needs Come First: That’s why we start by asking you questions (not merely trying to sell you a one-size-fits-all product).  Your Metro Shade Technician will take you step-by-step through our Shade Solutions Planner and talk with you about the exact area you would like shaded, what you may use that area for, the time of day you would most likely need the shade, the degree of shade, the direction of the sun and breezes, designs you have in mind, level of quality you would like to consider… and much more.  Only once we fully understand what you are hoping to achieve will we recommend designs, fabrics and installation options.

Information: Like anything you start to research, you’ll quickly discover there is much more to shade sails and structures than meets the eye. Things like design, type of fabric and stitching, cabling systems, manufacturing processes and installation methods.  We’ve included lots of information on this website and in our Shade Solutions Guide Book and Planner — so you can choose a shade solution you’ll be absolutely delighted with.

True Value For Money: Many companies use a sales technique of discounting.  But you know it’s not real.  I mean, how can any company give 40%, 50% and even 60% discounts unless the product is priced incorrectly in the first place?  We don’t play any of those games.  Our prices are real, not artificially inflated and then seemingly discounted.  When we give you a price you can be assured it is the best price – up-front.  And if another company gives you a price that appears to be cheaper, we’d be glad to help you compare the critical components of their quote to ensure it really is an ‘apple-to-apple’ comparison.  We’d hate for you to choose a company that appears to be cheaper and find out you’ve really chosen a ‘lemon’.

Staff Not Contractors: Without doubt the hardest part of running a home improvement business is finding good staff.  And when you use contractors (like most shade companies) it’s almost impossible.  That’s why every member of our team – salespeople and installers — is on wages.  They’re trained by us, committed to our systems, and held accountable by our management assessments.  While our No-Contractor policy may slow work capacity slightly in peak times, having a stable team (of employees) means we can guarantee our quality of work.

The Golden Rule: We’re not perfect but, we do try to treat our clients as we like to be treated.  That means we’ll turn up on time (or we’ll phone to let you know we’re running late), we’ll keep in touch with you so you know what’s going on, we’ll look after your property and clean up when we leave, and we’ll always act respectfully towards you and your neighbours.
